Chamber fights for your business through Legislative Advocacy

Thank you for accessing the San Clemente Chamber of Commerce Legislative and Political Advocacy Action Center.

The San Clemente Chamber of Commerce is proud to be the “the voice of business” on your behalf.   One of the most valuable benefits of membership in the Chamber is our Legislative Advocacy program of work, which deals with issues that impact your business.  

The Chamber has been an effective liaison over the years between local business, elected officials and community leaders. The San Clemente Chamber is a pro-active force in shaping the legislative agenda. Speaking as one voice, Chamber members have the power to strengthen the prosperity of the business community. We have access to policymakers and sponsor programs and events to keep our members informed and a part of pending legislation.

As we work together to take a stand for businesses and our community, we realize the need to offer relevant information to help you make prudent decisions in the political process. The Advocacy section of our website is an interactive tool for election information, nonpartisan civic participation and grassroots advocacy designed to mobilize Chamber members regarding upcoming issues and valuable election news.

Today, more than ever, it is important for the business community to voice your opinion on the changes in government that occur on a daily basis.  Whether it is taxes, healthcare, transportation, education or any of the many issues that affect our economy, our politicians who represent us need to hear from you. 

The Legislative Action Center will supply our membership with up-to-date information, opportunities to participate and simple steps to directly contact lawmakers regarding issues that affect your business and lives.

On this site, you can register to vote, apply for an absentee ballot, learn more about candidates, locate where you go to vote, contact your elected officials and much more. You are able to join the Chamber’s Grassroots Network and independently contact your legislators to advocate issues important to you.

I encourage Chamber members to take action by connecting with the appropriate government officials to express your opinion.  Our staff is readily available to help guide you through the lengthy, and often complicated, legislative measures that affect your business so you can express your opinion.  The Chamber will help to keep you abreast on important legislative issues.
